For environments where the PDF printer is on a different server than the workstation the end user will need write access to the following locations:

For 64 bit Windows - C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3

Periodically check these locations for a buildup of these files and delete old ones that didn’t get removed due to a crash, error, or other misbehavior…

If StatNovaPDf does not appear in Printers and Faxes list after installation ( or receive Printer not installed while trying to create PDFs) it implies the StatNovaPDF driver was not installed properly. One possible reason for failed installation is due to the fact that the Windows printer installer looks for the file framedyn.dll in the system path and does not find it. novaPDF can be used for up to 30 days for free. During the trial, you have all the functionality of the installed edition, but each page of the resulting PDF will show a footer notice. After 30 days, the program will no longer work, unless you purchase a license and activate it. The licensed version doesn't expire and doesn't add any footer notices.

Add a Printer using the desired novaPDF Printer Driver:

In the Print Management Window, right click and select Add Printer.
Select Add a new printer using an existing port.
Scroll toNVK9: (novaPDF Port).
Click next.
Select "Use an existing printer driver on the computer".
In the drop-down, select novaPDF 9 Printer Driver.

If you see a Printer with "novaPDF" in the name

Rename the novaPDF Printer to "PDF Report Writer":

In the Print Management Window, right click on the novaPDF Printer > Printer Properties.
In the General tab, rename the Printer to "PDF Report Writer".

If you see multiple Printers with "PDF Report Writer" in the name

For example, you may see a Printer named "PDF Report Writer" and another named "PDF Report Writer Copy 1". This can happen if you had SSA 2019 or older and SSA 2020 or newer installed on the same machine. Both installations try to create a Printer named "PDF Report Writer", which Windows does not allow. To get SSA 2020 or newer to work:

In the Print Management Window, rename the older "novaPDF 6" Printer to anything other than "PDF Report Writer".
Rename the Printer with the "novaPDF 9" Driver Name "PDF Report Writer".

Note: Custom PDF Reports may now not work in SSA 2019 or older since we renamed its Printer. SSA 2019 is no longer supported, but you can reverse the logic if you'd prefer SSA 2019 or older to work over SSA 2020 or newer.

Within OyezForms, select ADMIN>OPTIONS>EXPORT, and click on the "Install the OyezForms Printer" button. OyezForms will run the install files in sequence. You may be prompted to elevate privileges where necessary.

NB: If the 'Install the OyezForms Printer" button is not enabled, you will already have Nova7 installed. Nova7 is compatible with OyezForms 12.00G+.

Rolling-out Nova 8

When rolling out via Active Directory etc, you must install the msi files in the sequence outlined above. Failure to do so will result in non-functionality.

Successful installation will result in the ADMIN>OPTION>EXPORT "Install the OyezForms Printer" button being disabled.

Installation

Earlier versions of nova are not supplied as msi files and cannot be rolled-out via Active Directory.

Manual user attachments to networked copies of OyezForms (i.e. when <app folder>\setup\setup.exe is run)
When a user clicks 'Install OyezForms PDF printer' under ADMIN>OPTIONS>EXPORT
